Toxics

The term "toxics" refers to substances in the environment that are potentially hazardous to humans and their ecosystems. A substance can be toxic in two ways. It either causes harm to humans or the environment easily (ie., is inherently toxic), or it is found in high levels or concentrations. The worst cases are when inherently toxic substances are found in large amounts.
