Alberta Coal Phase-Out

We are currently working in Alberta, seeking a province-wide phase out of coal-fired power which contributes to respiratory illness. Please send an email to Alberta’s Premier saying that you support a coal-free Alberta.

Visit the Alberta Coal Phaseout Coalition website for more information.

For the health science rationale behind our Alberta coal phase-out campaign, please read  A Costly Diagnosis: Subsidizing coal power with Albertans’ health, a report co-authored by CAPE, the Asthma Society of Canada, the Lung Association (AB & NWT), and the Pembina Institute.

In the fall of 2013, CAPE ran the above advertisement in newspapers across Alberta in partnership with the Asthma Society of Canada and the Lung Association – Alberta & NWT.
