Among other dangers, neonicotinoid pesticides (neonics) post serious risks to insect pollinators that are essential to food production in Canada. CAPE played a lead role in the campaign to phase-out neonic pesticides used on agricultural land in Ontario. The regulations won in 2015 were the first of their kind in any jurisdiction in North America. CAPE continues to work for the elimination of all neonics from use across Canada in partnership with the Coalition for Action on Toxics.
