Other Pesticides

Other pesticides include Atrazine and Pyrethroids. Atrazine is a chemical pesticide used to kill broad-leaf weeds affecting agricultural crops. It is harmful to aquatic insects, and in a number of cases, can intensify the toxic effects of other chemicals. Synthetic pyrethroids are pesticides (neurotoxins) that disrupt nerve impulses in insects and other non-target species. They are used against insects in homes, for mosquito control, and on agricultural crops such as fruit and vegetables.
