Originating in 2021, CAPE Manitoba is the official local chapter of The Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE). Bringing a unique, provincial lens to the ecological and climate crises in Canada, CAPE Manitoba amplifies the trusted voices of healthcare providers and brings an evidence-based healthcare perspective on environmental issues. It is comprised of Manitoba health care providers, who collaborate on local and national environmental initiatives. Through its membership in CAPE, we seek to better understand how the environment affects human health, and take actions that will contribute to the protection and promotion of human health. Our intent is that the health of people and the planet are prioritized in society and policy in Canada.
If you live in Manitoba and would like to have a conversation about an initiative in your area, send us an email at mb@cape.ca.
