Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Warren Bell has been a family physician for four decades. He graduated from McGill in 1974, followed by a family medicine residency.
For decades he has played an advocacy role around social, environmental, peace and global health and development issues (often focused on corporations and patents), as well as the integration of healing modalities of all kinds. As well as several few peer-reviewed clinical pieces, he has written for a number of online publications, including the Vancouver Observer and National Observer
He is a past president of Physicians for Global Survival, past founding president of CAPE, past president of the Association of Complementary and Integrative Physicians of BC, past President of the Medical Staff at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital, and current president of Wetland Alliance: The Ecological Response (WA:TER).
He lives in a small town in south-central B.C. running an integrative practice.
